SK Football Coaching are delighted to announce a partnership with Playmakers – an organisation which proudly brings ‘a planet full of sports’ to capture the imagination of under 5s, through the concept of learning through play.
In Playmakers’ unique programme, children play sports through their friends – Skip and Dribble – who promote good behaviours, like healthy eating, helping people and respecting others. But beware of Solar Flare, Playmakers’ resident baddie, who likes to eat bad food and disrespect others!
SKFC’s partnership with Playmakers will enable the provision to extend further into the Stockport and South Manchester region, with SKFC coaches delivering the Playmakers programme locally. The programme is a specialised football & multi-sport programme run predominantly in nursery settings, preparing children for Key Stage 1 school & football settings.
Playmakers’ coaching is concentrated around the following areas:
· Fundamental motor-skills, including agility, balance and coordination
· Football techniques
· Positive personality traits
· Social development
· Inspiration from imaginary role models (Skip & Dribble)
· Many more EYFS covered aspects
Learning through play is key for Playmakers, through monthly topics and exciting group competitions.
In addition to our Playmakers programme’s launch, SKFC will be introducing mini-football sessions for pre-school children, too. We have opened initial sign-ups to the SKFC U5s 2020/21 training, for children who start Reception in September. To sign up, simply visit the link below:
